Funding Readiness Assessment
Before pursuing funding, it is important to understand where you stand. Monarch evaluates each client's funding readiness, competitiveness, organizational capacity, and potential compliance gaps while identifying the projects and priorities they hope to fund.
Each assessment includes a readiness score, along with a personalized summary of strengths, identified gaps, and actionable recommendations to help your organization become better positioned for future opportunities.
Pricing is based on organizational and project complexity. A final scope and fee will be confirmed prior to beginning services.
Grant Preparation & Application
Monarch provides hands-on assistance throughout the grant preparation and application process.
Services may include reviewing program guidelines and eligibility requirements, developing application narratives, gathering supporting documentation, coordinating information from project partners, assisting with budgets and project timelines, organizing required attachments, completing application materials, and preparing applications for submission.
Post-submission support is also available for application monitoring, clarification requests, supplemental documentation, and responses to Requests For Information (RFIs). The level of support needed will be established within the client’s scope of services.

Includes targeted research based on your funding priorities, a curated list of relevant opportunities, basic eligibility and funding-range information, application deadlines, match requirements when applicable, and our assessment of each opportunity’s alignment with your stated goals.
Ongoing Funding Research - Monthly Retainer
Designed for organizations that want ongoing support identifying new funding opportunities as they become available.
Includes continued monitoring for relevant funding opportunities, regularly updated opportunity recommendations, eligibility and deadline information, alignment with organizational priorities, and notification of time-sensitive opportunities that may warrant further consideration.
Grant Administration & Compliance Support
Receiving an award is only the beginning. Monarch assists clients in navigating the administrative and compliance responsibilities that come with grant-funded projects.
Services may include procurement coordination and documentation, vendor and contractor procurement files, grant management system navigation, contract and project documentation, reporting requirements, records organization, deadline tracking, grant compliance monitoring and documentation support.
Monarch also works to maintain consistent communication among organizational officials, funding agencies, engineers, contractors, vendors, stakeholders, subrecipients, and other project partners to help keep projects moving forward.
Pricing is based on grant requirements, project complexity, award size, anticipated workload, and the level of administrative support required.
Project Development & Funding Strategy
A strong funding application begins with a well-developed project. Monarch Consulting works with clients to transform ideas, community needs, and organizational priorities into clearly defined projects that are better positioned for future funding opportunities.
This service may include: project scope development, identification of goals and anticipated outcome, preliminary funding needs, project timelines, organizational and documentation needs, potential match considerations, and identification of appropriate funding pathways. Clients receive a customized funding strategy outlining recommended next steps and a practical path from project development to funding pursuit.
Reporting & Grant Closeout
As a funded project approaches completion, Monarch helps clients navigate the reporting, documentation, and administrative requirements necessary to bring an award to a successful close. Services may include final reporting coordination, documentation review and organization, outstanding deliverable tracking, final reimbursement support, grant record preparation, and closeout coordination with the funding agency.
We help identify outstanding requirements, organize the administrative record demonstrating how grant funds were used, and support clients in completing required documentation as projects move toward final closeout.
Ongoing reporting and project administration throughout the award period are available separately through our Grant Administration & Compliance Support service.
